Karen Julia has an Exhibition here. 'Karen developed an interest in photography at school and went on to complete an SNC & HND in Photography at what is now the Glasgow Metropolitan college. On leaving college in 1999 her photography became a hobby as she developed a career in retail management. She then decided that a decade of retail was quite enough and as photography had always been her vocation in October 2005 she quit her day job to start her photography business. She brings to her business her passion for customer service, her Doc Martens, her Glaswegian sense of humour and the drive and ambition that got her to manager of a multi million pound blue chip business within 5 years of leaving college. She balances her business with teaching digital photography and Photoshop at an FE college for a few hours a week, and in her spare time she enjoys shopping, reading, working out at the gym enough to maintain her chocolate habit and contributing feature articles and photography to Zhoosh magazine: www.glossyzhoosh.co.uk. She has full liability and indemnity insurance & a recent CRB certificate. A published photographer, her work has featured in g3, DIVA, Professional Photographer magazine & the BJP (British Journal of Photography). Her work also features in the civil partnership section of www.vinopolis.co.uk as she shot the first civil partnership ceremony there, and on www.yophoto.com where her work features in a case study.'
