Lizzie offers a friendly, approachable and flexible service at Huntstile Organic Farm. All our catering is managed in house using local produce wherever possible - we grow lots of our own salad and vegetables right here on the farm. We have a list of suggestions for menus and you can mix and match or choose something completely different.

Venue special features: Huntstile Farmhouse dates back to the reign of Henry VI, the child king, and retains many of it's original features including the wood panelling with Tudor rose detailing (the Panelled Room is a lovely large room lined with quarter cut Jacobean oak panelling), many original Tudor doorways, exposed woodwork and beams, chestnut sprial staircase and big ham stone fireplaces. The 7 guest bedrooms have all been tasteful decorated and furnished with large comfortable beds and snuggly feather duvets.
Venue History: Farmers have been growing crops at Huntstile for at least the last 1000 years. In the Doomsday Book it was farmed by "John the Usher". The farmhouse was built in 1430 and has undergone some big changes over the last 580 years, however it is now, apart from the Victorian addtion of the square wing, much as it has been since the late 1700's. Over the years we have found clues to the former inhabitants including a travellers diary from 1688, a quill pen belonging to Mr A Danger and various article of footwear and spectacles.
Other information: We have our own stone circle that lies at the top of a hill on the edge of a broadleaved woodland. THe circle is about 500ft above sea level and has stunning views across the countryside to the sea. Many couples have enjoyed celebration ceremonies at the stone circle however it is still not legal to marry 'under the open sky' in the UK.
