Gardens or outside locations suitable for wedding photography: We only host one wedding per day, so the gardens make a perfect backdrop for photographs and drinks reception
Suitable locations inside the venue for wedding photography: Coachhouse and Hayloft restaurant
Local picturesque areas suitable for wedding photography: We are close to many beautiful coastal areas.
Venue special features: Beaufield Mews is Dublin's oldest restaurant, established in 1948, so we have a long tradition of serving good food.
The 18th century courtyard and stables have been lovingly restored and now house two different sized restaurants.
We have also just won "BEST OUTDOOR SPACE" award November 2009 from the National Hospitality Conference beating every hotel, restaurant & pub in the whole of Ireland.
Venue History: Beaufield Mews has been in the possession of the present owner's family since 1930. Beaufield Mews was originally opened as an antique shop and coffee house and the restaurant was added in 1950. At the time of the 'troubles' Beaufield house was owned by the Comyn family, the remoteness of the house made it an excellent safe retreat for Eamonn de Valera, who hid here for six months in 1921.
Other information: We bake & cook everything on the premises, so you can hand pick your wedding menu and even bring in ideas to us. Some very alternative wedding reception meals are now on offer, like our Mini Feast Menus or Le Pique Nique, a romantic & casual way of dining. Please look at our website for more ideas, www.beaufieldmews.com.
