We are classified by the Philippine Department of Tourism as a country lodge and not a hotel
Number of function rooms available for weddings: none inside the hotel but we can probably arrange a venue with 2 of our lessees located at the ground floor or our hotel
Function room names and capacities: The hotel proper per se does not have function rooms. We have a big hall in the hotel premises on the ground floor facing the main street of Rizal that is now used as a billard hall. It extends to an outdoor area covered with umbrellas. Our lessees can probably arrange a party there. The venue can probably accommodate 300 guests. There is another lessee with a big restaurant owned by an Austrian and his Filipina wife located in the ground floor and they have the capacity to arrange a party and cater at the same time. Probably the place can accommodate a hundred guests. Arrangements and agreements are required from them before we can commit to anything concrete.
Guests rooms available: 15 rooms of varying amenities
Honeymoon suite available: none but we have the big room we call superior room which is airconditioned, with ensuite toilet/shower, and television
Garden suitable for marquees: yes
Local accommodation: You can try Fernando's Hotel, Fritz Homestay (owned by an Austrian) and Villa Isabel or Hotel Arica. They are all very nice hotels too.

Ideal Honeymoon Venue
Entertainment is available: only a videoki/karaoke pub where wannabees sing and gossip with a pint. Filipinos are good singers - that is entertainment enough, I suppose.
Wedding services provided: Only hotel rooms.
Gardens or outside locations suitable for wedding photography: Not in the hotel garden however there are many locations nearby for memorable wedding photography such as the Sorsogon quay with Bulusan Volcano and Sorsogon Bay as the backdrop. Also the old municipal building built by the Americans in the late 1800s and its park and the very old gazebo where bands used to play music for the promenaders in the Govierno Park. There are huge hundred year old trees also in this park and provides a canopy for those dry hot days. Suitable locations inside the venue for wedding photography...: Yes, there is and it is on the terrace of the hotel located in the penthouse which overlooks Sorsogon Bay and Bulusan Volcano.
Local picturesque areas suitable for wedding photography: Plenty of that in Sorsogon. white sand beaches are an hour's drive, there are waterfalls up by the geothermal plant, old Spanish Churches, old baluartes (defenses against Moro raiders), Old Spanish residential houses, coconut plantations, quaint fishing villages, lovely green countryside, and the local people of course.
Venue special features: The owners and the hotel staff. It is a family hotel therefore the service people are very friendly, accommodating, helpful and trustworthy. They will go out of their way to make the stay of the guests very comfortable and easy.
Venue History: Our country lodge has been in business for 42 years continuously and owned by the same family. We opened in 1968.
Other information: Our country lodge is not a 5-star hotel of western standards. However, the rooms are very clean, the staff are very friendly and the owners are very accommodating and helpful.
Honeymoon vacations local attractions: Yes this venue is more suited to Honeymoon vacations. We have diving with the whale sharks in Donsol, an hour's drive from the hotel. There are dive sites, Spanish galleon treasure hunting, sports fishing, lovely beaches, forests walk, two active volcanoes - Mayon and Bulusan. Bulusan Volcano can be seen across the Bay from our hotel. Legaspi is an hour's drive and one can climb halfway to Mayon Volcano (if it is quiet). Old Churches that are 200 to 300 years old built during the Spanish times, there are all kinds of flora and fauna, especially bird watching, island hopping, caves, rustic and quaint countryside.
