I think the true value is to reinforce what quality photography is and how to build a quality long term business.
Why is The Societies of Photographers Convention such a big deal for photographers?
It truly gives photographers a chance to become part of a group of like-minded individuals to push this industry forward.
Is it primarily about the chance to learn from the experiences of imaging icons?
I think Imaging Icons is a misnomer. It's about learning segments of the photography business from people who know concrete things that can make you more successful.

What do you think will be the next big thing in the industry?
The next big thing is the old thing and new, the explosion of print and the explosion of virtual sales, using Skype and video chat for design consultations.
