What's the best single piece of business advice you'd like to share?

Be humble and willing to learn and grow.

What do you love photographing and why?

I love taking pictures of everything! Even when I don’t have my camera to hand, I’m still taking pictures with my phone. If I have to choose, then personally, I love to photograph weddings and fashion.

Learning to become a competent photographer is a serious challenge, one that keeps us learning and exploring - what would you say is the most important challenge you've faced as a photographer?

It would have to be learning the importance of light: finding it, seeing it, and using it; and, if I'm not happy with using available light, creating it. I would also like to state the importance of workflow - many wedding photographers forget they are in business, and dedicate countless hours to sitting in front of a monitor - there needs to be a balance between shooting and editing; it's important to maintain a personal life also.

Looking at a photographer's portfolio can be revealing - what does your portfolio reveal about you?

(Laughs). That's a difficult question to answer without getting personal and emotional, but here goes ... I have three sisters, I watched my two older sisters get married and leave home; this was very difficult for me to experience.
