Do you enter competitions - if so, is it with your dayto-day work or do you shoot specifically?
I'd love to enter competitions, but never seem to find the time.
What do you love the most about being a photographer?
I love the banter and interaction I have with my clients. I get a real buzz from meeting so many people - I love to chat and share experiences during a photography session. I also take great pride when a client thanks me for the wonderful time they had during a session, or tells me they were nervous and I made them feel relaxed.
Who inspires you?
All the photographers' images I see at conferences. I want to take those images. I want to find time to spend on being creative, for me.
What does the future hold?
Building a business which I can sell upon retirement. There are lots of changes afoot with regards how the business operates at present. We're moving towards the more high-end market and session where I spend two to three hours per client, with the aim of generating a greater return on investment ratio.
