There are many strange and wonderful facts about light.
It isn't a particle but it travels in straight lines. It has a wavelength but can't travel around corners.
Perhaps its greatest anomaly is that light is actually invisible.
It is not light that we see but the effect that it has on the objects that it falls upon.
Even stranger, that point is where we photographers enter the equation.
Because what we do is all about capturing what light has caused us to see and when we've captured it to make it permanent so that others can share our vision.
