It's all change for the future - part 2 of 1 2 3

by Ron Pybus Published 01/04/2010

This decision has freed up some time and we have added to this by concentrating on a narrower range of customers who are already on our books rather than actively seeking new customers. To be honest, some of this has been led by the lack of response to our promotions in recent months and the cutback on the promotions we have operated compared with last year.

The last time I wrote I said that things were on the up, but that there was a prediction that there would be a down-turn in the economic growth in the early part of 2010. People spent well up to Christmas and have cut back hard in the last three months in an attempt to recover. It has certainly hit our business. We have realised that since Christmas we have not been actively marketing ourselves as we have in the past and this has certainly shown in our bookings - but it was part of the plans to slow down, although the slow down has been greater than expected.
