Bugs

The program was a little buggy in that it crashed a few times when either operating or when transferring back to Photoshop. Bearing in mind that we were testing on a dualcore fast processor it is unlikely that it is a resource problem. The annoying thing is that you lose your Photoshop session as well and the Recent Files list is also knocked out. The program does not work on monochrome images or alpha channels, which prevents you from doing any fancy stuff like Image Calculations to assist in your mask making.

Conclusions

The general consensus is that Fluid Mask is easier to use and faster than its rivals. Nevertheless, it is difficult to place Fluid Mask above its lower-priced rivals, even with the demonstrated speed increase. Only if you have a load of cutouts to perform will you make a decent return on your additional investment. According to our searching
