Editorial - April-May 2009 - part 1 of 1

Looking about at Focus recently the depth of the depression was not immediately obvious. A number of companies have been quoted as saying that, 'It was the best Focus ever.'Visitor numbers were up and spending did not seem to be depressed in any way. How can this be? Perhaps those lucky people with a few bob in their accounts have decided to take it away from the banks and convert it into tangible goods. It seems that it is not a crime for a bank (or a banker) to rob you blind, squander your pension fund, lose your money in some dodgy acquisition, or give it to their retiring CEO. It is however still a crime to break into your house and steal your new camera, printer, computer, etc. Your new toys, therefore seem to be a safer place to invest your money - think about it!
