Editorial - December 2009-January 2010 - part 1 of 1

by Mike McNamee Published 01/12/2009

As we run into Christmas and the New Year it is timely to wish you all seasonal greetings and a prosperous time in the upcoming 12 months. The past year has been difficult trading for many people, reflected in a lack of spending, factory closures, high-street mergers, bank buyouts and all the detritus that comes with an economic slump. On the positive side you can look forward to being inspired by the Convention, moving your business forward, learning new skills and hopefully brightening your outlook. Forget New Year's resolutions, they are things that almost invariably generate failure at some level of other. Instead think of doing something that you have not done before, then start doing it. But make it good! Start entering competitions, trying to make actions or filters, start making monochromes, take a day a month out to make 'me' photographs (possibly, and preferably, with some mates), take that trip to the Hebrides you always fancied but never got around to - anything as long as it brings a glow to your life, however small. Have a good one!.
