Two Good Two Bad Good: We spotted that Adobe have entered the top 50 list of 'Best Workplaces in 2016'. Greatplacetowork.co.uk conduct surveys of how a workforce views their bosses and work environment. Adobe Systems Europe came in, as first timers, at number 10. Its 557 employees have "a great balance between working smart, caring for the local community and allowing employees to enjoy their personal lives."

Bad: The outcome of the Hillsborough Enquiry after a 27-year wait is a damming indictment of various entities from whom we are entitled to expect a higher level of probity. That an event witnessed by so many people, recorded for the press and filmed for TV can have had its truth hidden for so long beggars belief!

Good: Leicester City have brought joy to countless people, many of whom do not even have any formal allegiance to the city . The only sadness is that their victory was confirmed on the result of a rather tetchy match that they were not involved in. It would have been nice to witness a bunch of over-paid show ponies having to grit their teeth and clap these underdogs from a pitch someplace! We also note that our own Maz Mashru has been involved with some of the photography.

Bad: Apple have posted a fall in sales for the first time ever. Phone and tablet sales enabled this company to post the biggest ever quarterly profit of any public company just 18 months ago - a staggering $18 billion. A bit of considered reflection will do them good , perhaps they will start to repair some of the damage to their reputation caused by duff upgrades and restrictive practices.
