Work around your subjects

Don't just shoot from the most obvious viewpoint. Try approaching your shot from different angles and, crucially, choose a direction that will give you an uncluttered background and effective lighting. Be prepared to experiment - flowers are one of the most photographed subjects, so a fresh approach will give your work a creative edge.
