The SC70600 caused something of a stir with the punters at Focus.

We took the opportunity at Focus to make some test prints of the image using the Epson SC 70600. A variety of surfaces were tested including Digimura wallpaper, canvas and a high-gloss vinyl. The results caused something of a stir both for their size and robustness. The visitors were able to walk all over the prints and even give them a deliberate kicking, indeed we damaged the carpet underneath the print with one overenthusiastic demonstration. Other wall prints had been prepared and we

were able to photograph the Digimura installers wall papering the Epson stand. The single image used for this typified the issues we discussed on the previous pages. Even though it was a Hasselblad image it still did not have sufficient resolution to show off the capabilities of the printer when blown to this size. The only way, it seems, is Gigapan (right)!
