As I have sold the Norman Phillips of London studio, the thousands of films and most all the digital files created over 24 years are not easy to track, so some of the best cannot be seen. Actually, though the time was right to sell when I did; I miss it a lot and have from time to time thought about buying it back but have managed to resist doing so. But the new owner has a licence to use the Norman Phillips of London name, so it still generates regular revenue and I get to shoot portraits and assignments quite often.

Next is the Block family. The girls are non-identical twins and presently (May, 2010) are at medical school. It is likely that these talented and attractive young women will finish their medical studies before they wed, so it may not be more than five to six years before I am photographing them being escorted down the aisle of a synagogue.

I have been photographing these two young women since well before their bat mitzvahs and I also did A Day in the Life Book of them that was a lot of fun and it produced some great spontaneous images as well as a few a little more contrived. Both of them are featured in my posing book, and also in my middle key book as well.

As you may guess, photographing a bar mitzvah of twins is a little bit of a challenge, as you need to have eyes in the back of your head. It's a little like photographing a wedding with two brides, a pleasure I had on two occasions. Since then I have created portraits of them as well as of their mom and dad.

We have decided that they are my adopted nieces and we keep in touch when we can even while they are at school in Florida and I am in the Chicago area.
