Marko believes that it's important to keep entering competitions and receiving feedback on your work. 'As a developing, creative artist it can be too easy to hide within your own bubble. If you don't ask for feedback regularly on your work then you have no idea where you stand in comparison to your peers.' In addition Marko explains that it can also help you reach supporters who might give you a leg up in the future: 'If they don't see your work then they don't know you exist!' Certainly entering and winning the competitions within organisations such as the SWPP can expose your work to many, many people. As a parting shot Marko is also keen to stress that he doesn't always agree with all of the judgements made about his own work when he enters it into competitions - and I'm sure he's not the only one! www.studiomarko.com
