There are reasons why people create photography. For some, it may be merely to capture a moment or to tell a story and that is the great importance. For others, it is about recognition. It may also be a line of work and a necessary contributor to your income. By increasing the perceived value and grabbing the attention of onlookers, you have a greater chance of being recognised for your work and a greater chance of telling that story. This opportunity will also enable you to benefit from your work, should you wish to profit from it, not only in name but also in monetary value.

Now that we've covered the reasons about value and enhancing quality, surely you would want to maintain that? Preserving an image is vital to the protection of your intended story, message or moment captured. If you display your images, they must be protected and the only way to do that is by supporting it behind a Conservation, Acid Free mount. Keep that moment alive eternally so that it stays the same as it always was, rather than letting it deteriorate and fade. No famous artist would have settled for an unfinished piece of work, why should photographers?
