When Space is an Issue - part 2 of 1 2

Note: clients are informed, two days prior to their session, of the new address of our "Creation Center" via postcard or attention to our web site map, www.newmanphotography.com.

The fun now begins as we endeavor to make such locations presentable and profitable. A trip through the backlots of century city or any major Hollywood California motion picture studio location proved to me that a camera room/studio can take on the appearance of a creation area and does not have to have the glamour of the portrait reception or gallery area. People understand the turmoil and also the magic of a work or creation area. Space is the key here, not glamour. A few touches of functionality or commercial looking amenities won't scare your clients away: especially after they have initially viewed your resultant creative efforts displayed in your beautiful main studio/portrait gallery.

Driving though towns and villages, while visiting in England, I notice an abundance of second story, middle of town, locations which seem in a state of abandonment. What a grand find this would be for the local portraitist who seeks additional space for his or her creative efforts.

Having acquired adequate space and a reputation for my ability to handle larger portrait requirements, I receive the calls from these clients when the need arises. Often, my competitor rings me asking for help for his clients who have lofty space requirements.

Upwards to "serious orders"

Now we ask the question, do these clients place serious orders? Indeed they do, since the mere number of participants in the session lends itself to a greater purchasing audience. Our new larger studio helps provide us with loads of confidence when advertising and promoting specials to high-profit group and family portraiture clients. Photographing school choirs, teams, clubs, professional organizations and church groups are all possible without leaving the comfort zone of your well-tuned, well equipped,

studio's camera room. We, also, can now offer space for the requested "extended" family group portrait, i.e., grandparents, with children and grandchildren (even great-grandchildren). Unique here is the fact the one large family session can easily evolve, profitably, with break-downs, into four or five family groupings, plus couples, etc. etc. Believe me, large family groups alone, conveniently handled in your newly acquire SPACE can provide for a new lifestyle! Space is of key importance, ...be the first in your area to inexpensively expand the size of your camera room and launch into this new high profit success mode!

Success to you all
Dave
