"Achieving ease of use is our top priority when developing our software", explains Light Blue's Tom Catchesides. "We wanted to make software that would not only save a lot of time compared to pieces of paper or Excel spreadsheets, but also be simple to pick up and easy to understand."
You're not limited to one computer, either. Setting up a multi-computer system is described as straightforward. Simply enter a username and password and Light Blue will do the rest. And with the newly announced iPhone and iPad apps, you can take your information on the road.
Couple that connectivity with the fact that when you're subscribed to the accompanying online services a secure cloud backup of all your data is kept (so if your computer's stolen all your precious information is safe), and a subscription to Light Blue seems like a no-brainer.
At this point you're probably wondering how proficient the tech support is. "We know that fast, helpful support is really important for businesscritical software," admits Catchesides. "We try to reply to support emails within an hour during UK office hours - and our customers consistently tell us that we provide the best support they've experienced."
Light Blue costs a flat fee of £295 for new users, and is not just limited to use on one machine. Existing owners of version 1, 2 or 3 meanwhile can upgrade to the latest iteration for £95. The iPhone and iPad versions are free but you'll need to be subscribed to Light Blue's online services to use them. Online services, which also include free updates, are in addition to the basic software price and are as follows: £7.50 per month for one or two devices, £15 per month for three to five devices, or £25 per month for 6-10 devices.
