The table shows the base line statistics for the papers. We understand that SG260 Semi Gloss is no longer offered and we suspended testing part way through our audit. The Color Density settings refer only to Epson printers and are to be found in the 'Paper Configuration' dialogue.
OVERALL
Despite our reservations about the amount of OBA in three of the papers and the gamut distortions, they all performed well. As we have found previously, the use of baryta coatings delivers an excellent mix of high(ish) Dmax, good gamut, excellent overall accuracy and outstanding skin tone accuracy, along with a traditional fibre-based look.
Our favourite of the other papers was the SGD 250 for its accuracy and clean neutrals - the twin sides are a bonus! The High Gloss PHG260 also turned out good-looking prints. If you want baryta (and many enthusiasts do!) then you can choose either the ivory or plain depending upon preference, they both performed well up the standard of the 30 we have previously tested. On a cost basis these are very competitively priced papers, particulaly as they are also backed up with good profiles.
