The Write Stuff How to write to excite - part 4 of 1 2 3 4

Tone: how you choose to address your audience. We tend to employ formal language when writing letters of employment, complaint or addressing a professional/legal organisation. Formal language can be easily recognised by its lack of apostrophes, we don't tend to compound words when writing formally. Informal language is the more chatty approach we use in our blogs, emails and texts. It's similar to a spoken conversation and may include compounded words eg don't instead of do not. Informal writing is more personal, it makes the reader - your audience - feel you're talking directly to them.

Marry winning words with superlative pictures and you have a winning combination. Use the written word to benefit your business, ignore it at your peril!
