"An internet connection is required the first time you install and license your desktop apps, but you can use the apps in offline mode with a valid software license. The desktop apps will attempt to validate your software licenses every 30 days.

For annual members, you can use the apps for up to 99 days in offline mode. Month-to-month members can use the software for up to 30 days in offline mode."

At the time of writing (December 2013) the annual monthly plan was asking for £46.88 per month, a discount of 40% for the full Creative Cloud and £8.78 per month for a bundle of Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5. Which you choose very much depends on your business but once you move away from a Photoshop-only requirement the world expands massively. Providing you have time to learn the software, it is possible to introduce new ways of working you may previously have not considered. For example you could organise content with Adobe Bridge CC, build timelines that tell stories in Premiere Pro CC and then output to DVD with Encore CS6. At the time of writing an online tutorial was being posted showing just how to do this entitled "Bringing Storytelling to Wedding Videos". The learning curve for such ventures is very steep but it is through innovation that you may give a flagging market a boost. A slightly simpler approach might be to use the Timeline, introduced in CS6.
