1. The overall idea must be good.
2. All the details must be meticulously dealt with.
3. The perspectives must match.

Tracy's collapsed layers palette shows the colourcoded and named object of the composition.

4. The resolutions of individual components must be close enough to avoid detection.
5. The basics must not be forgotten at the end of a long process: dodge and burn, overall colour grading and final sharpening must all be attended to as the final image is completed; we note Tracy applied a percentage of Color Efex 4 Tonal Contrast to bring the composite up a little for the final presentation.
