articles/Paper/han-310-page1

This is a new paper in Hahnemuhle 's Digital Photo Range. It has a weight of 310gsm and is a bright, white pearl-finish media with a caliper of 300 microns. The coating is tough enough to withstand a dragged finger (wet or dry!) but a fingernailleaves an indent. Even so, most wedding album requirements are met by the paper. As with many pearlescent papers, the sparkle appears when ink is applied to the coating and so thereis slight residual gloss differential in white-bald patches. This is something that photographers stress over but rarely seems to trouble clients.
Colour Audit
We made a bespoke profile on an Epson 4900 using a 400-patch target and X-Rite i1 Publisher software. In the audit, the average error was 3.38 ΔEoo which is just a little above the average for all tests but good for a paper so heavily brightened (and hence cool). The paper's white statistics are shown in the table. The Fluorescence is towards the top end of the tests we do at 9.1 and the paper is about eight points cool (blue). Overall then, it is a bright paper with plenty of pop.
