Real prints

We made some real prints. This included John Baikie's shot from page 73 of the last issue of Imagemaker. This is an image with bright colours, challenging deep tones and, in particular, very subtle pastel tones in the girl's hat (on the flower). The print was excellent all round, it made us realise just how good John's original really was! This, then, is a typical image which responds well to this type of paper.

The range of the paper in the test print ran from shadows starting to be blocked at 15-20 RGB points but delivering right up to 252 RGB points at the highlight end.

We also printed an aquatic dark field shot and here the intense depth of the blacks showed off the bright colours of the larvae very well indeed.
