Then after lunch the skies cleared and the previously elusive sun shone through. As all wedding photographers will know you have to take your chance whilst it is there, for you may not get a second opportunity. So all the delegates and model were rounded up and we used the Elinchrom Quadra to great effect against one of the magnificent watchtowers that were built by the Knights Templar around the island.
vThus to our final day and an improvised photo-shoot in gardens organised by the MIPP for their members. Fabulous models, a selection of tutors and a large gathering of photographers eager to learn. It was also the birthday of one of the photographers present. At the end of the session everybody sang Happy Birthday to her. It really doesn't get nicer than that.
Finally back to the UK. Unusually the UK is hotter than the Mediterranean. Everybody asks how the holiday went. All Marko wants to do is sleep.
vIt has been a tiring, exciting, eye-opening 10 days with lots of new experiences and lots of new friends made. A huge thanks is due to the Societies for giving Marko the chance to do the tour. A huge thanks also to all those people in Cyprus, Greece and Malta who were so welcoming and hospitable.
A word of warning though. Paul Taylor started the tour with three jokes.
vHe now has 10.
Be afraid, very afraid.
There are 21 days to get ready for The Society of Photographers Convention and Trade Show at The Novotel London West, Hammersmith ...
