The baseline data for the board and EZ media.
As always the only way to make a decision is to obtain samples and make prints. For many this is a step too far and some high-volume users can only really afford to stock and sell one surface. In this instance it is frequently a lustre or semi-gloss offering that provides a good balance between depth, contrast and resistance to surface scuffing.
The board media hold the high gamut colour values extremely well.
Board Materials
A range of board materials are available. This is a relatively scarce resource these days and so we took the opportunity to both profile and audit the gloss and semi-gloss offerings. The two were similar in that they produced really good audit data but quite different in their base properties. The Semi Gloss is OBA free with low fluorescence and is just a couple of points cool; the Gloss is a bright, cool surface with a fluorescence of 8.8 and -6 points blue.
