Colorworld Imaging
The 'hero' products worth investigating here are from Colorworld's ArtisanAlbums range, which offers the plush presentation option of genuineleather covers as standard. Sizes start from 12x9 inches and go all theway up to 16x12 inches. Pages contain a matted overlay on top of thephotographic print - with an enticing choice of lustre, gloss or metallicpaper available to order. The company tells us that matted pages caneither be black linen with white core or feature a white stucco effect.

Mixing the contemporary with the traditional, Artisan Albums can also bedesigned with flush mount pages. Additional cover options are a 'cameo'cover, photo montage or canvas, whilst the most popular is still the acryliccover. Choice of leathers, silks and buckrams (a stiff cloth made of cotton,occasionally linen - Ed) are available to give that personalised 'bespoke'feel.

Artisan Albums from Colorworld Imaging can be ordered through itsColorworld Designer Pro software, which is free to download from itsweb site. It tells us that the albums are hand-made in its our north east ofEngland-based lab. As a result, delivery timescales are 5-7 working days.

Booked Images
The Berkshire-based Booked Images share the news with us that theyhave 'a lot' of new options for photographers this year. For example, ithas extended its Elegance range to include a mini Elegance option, beingsmaller than the main Elegance option at 10.5x14 inches, but still, it notes,as beautifully hand bound and boasting a very luxurious heavy weightbevelled binding. Booked Images, design service has been extended withthis range to include all wedding images, so that the book looks, as it says,'very chunky', with extra pages to enable photographers and their clientsto really tell the complete wedding story.

The supplier has also brought out a new range of guest signing booksand memory stick boxes that can be made in the same colour as the mainbook, so that the bride has a completely coordinated book with all of theguest books to match - ribbon details can also be added. A 'bridal pack'option is further available, which comprises one A4 book and two parentbooks, along with ribbons and jackets and is being pitched as offeringexcellent value.

The guest signing book meanwhile is 10x8-inches in size and includesblank pages for guests to sign. This is interspersed with 30 pages ofphotos which the photographer can provide - such as photos of a preengagement shoot. The clients' name can also be block printed on to this.New also for 2016 is the fact that Booked Images has extended the fabricsand colours of all of the books.
