ProPhotoPrints
If you're looking for large format prints in particular, then ProPhotoPrintsdelivers what its name suggests. The pro lab is actually part of theProAm Imaging group, and so operates a similar business model, withthe promise, it says, of the best quality product at the lowest possibleprice. Output is via 44-inch Hewlett Packard Designjet Z3200 photoprinter, which takes 12 HP Vivera Pigment inks, including chromatic red,in order to ensure a very broad colour gamut. The HP quad black alsodelivers black and white results that are claimed to be simply stunning.
To compliment the printer's performance, ProPhotoPrints utilise whatit says are the best media available - and in the Hahnemuhle rangeperhaps they have a point. Parchment-like materials are used to producegallery quality fine art giclee prints.
If less expensive large poster prints are what's required, then Fuji's glossand satin gloss base papers are deployed. These provide a result that'sclaimed to be similar to classic silver halide prints, which can be outputat any size up to 60x40-inches.
