For a self-taught photographer the SWPP qualifications can be a good way for others to recognise that you have achieved a certain standard with your work. Barrie himself is almost entirely self taught, but it's his drive and determination that allowed him produce the high quality work that he does today. He says "Whenever I do anything, I throw myself into it. I want to be really good at it. If I can't be the best in the world, I want to be as good as I can be. I really dedicate myself to learning all about it."

Undoubtedly Barrie and Bev's limitless enthusiasm and dedication to their craft will rub off on you during their workshops, hopefully pushing you into that 5 per cent that take their advice away and apply it to your own work.
