Social photographers searching for that fabled 'one stop shop' to fulfil their photo presentation requirements should look no further. Over 50 years in the business, Birmingham-based Parker Photographics is one of the largest suppliers of image presentation products in the UK.

It offers albums, mounts, photobooks, and bespoke and standard frames from such big industry names as Mario Acerboni - for which Parker is the sole UK importer of its leather albums and has been for the past 28 years - plus MTA (peel and stick albums), Denis Wright, Photovalue, Fujifilm, Permajet, Kenro and more.

Wedding albums, presentation albums, certificate frames and folders, plus photo frames, photo mounts and photographic ink-jet paper are always in stock, while it is also now offering a print and mount service for classic albums as well as canvas frames and acrylic blocks.

And there is a further bonus for photographers in dealing with Parker Photographics. If registering first online, photographers get to see special pricing not available to ordinary retail customers. Orders are fulfilled next day or within a few days, barring stock issues, in which case orders are naturally fulfilled as soon as an item becomes available. Furthermore, the firm offers a tailor-made service, able to provide high quality cover printing - or blocking - and bulk orders of certificate frames, photo folders and many types of presentation albums. With over 8,000 items on Parker's daily updated e-commerce site, owner and Managing Director Ian White promises that social photographers won't be short of options.

"We offer a wealth of knowledge for presenting images, and can cater for all types of budget as well as fulfilling photographers' special requests," he adds.

"Our best selling product is the Mario Acerboni album range," divulges Parker's MD Ian White. "They offer very high quality digital albums as well as the classic Acerboni matted albums, plus this year they're launching a cheaper offset printed book to complement their existing service."

Originally selling photographic equipment, Parker Photographics evolved into the presentation business we know today when Ian's father, who bought the business off its namesake, realised that margins were being squeezed and supplies were a better bet.

"Photographers were coming to us for equipment but at the same time asking 'do you do presentation products?'" recalls Ian. This led to Parker becoming one of the earliest Spicer Hallfield distributors, and specialising in presentation products, which led in turn to a meeting with a Mario Acerboni representative some 30 years ago. At the time the album manufacturers were to expand outside of Italy and the rest is, as they say, history.
