Why, When and How to Shoot Composite Images!
It's Terry's first time speaking at The Societies' Convention and after beingannounced as the Overall Winner of The Societies' 20x16 print competitionin January 2015, it was time he stepped up to the challenge. 'I'm reallyexcited and looking forward to it. I've been lecturing with the Lancashireand Cheshire Photographic Union for some time, but this is my first timespeaking for The Societies so that will be really special for me.'
Lecturing about photography is about giving people confidence for Terry, and about encouraging them to believe in themselves; 'When peoplebelieve in themselves it generates confidence and that transfers into theirability and their images. I make my teaching simple and progressive, and Ifocus on giving people the skills that they need to continue their personaldevelopment long after a workshop has finished.'
Terry's Masterclass at the Convention will be about when photographersshould shoot composite images and how to make them look believable.'Sometimes we're limited by opportunity, financial constraint, equipmentlimitations and so on. In my class I'm going to show why I employcomposite techniques, when I use them, and when I wouldn't use them.'Terry will also be covering techniques that he uses regularly so this will bean essential Masterclass for anyone who not only wants to know the 'why'of composite images, but also the 'how'!
