Studio location?
The studio is at the end of the house. All the work is done inhouse. We use an Epson 7600 driven from the Ilford Studio RIP,mainly with the pearl finish.We print up to 24ins wide with practically limitless length.
How much of your workflow is digital?
All of it.
What advantages does digital offer you?
You can learn so fast, it gives me ultimate CONTROL ofeverything. Control is what gives me the big PAY cheques.
What software do you use?
I use Adobe Photoshop, the Canon camera software and the Imacon Software for the Hasselblad images.
What generally is in your kit bag?
Canon EOS 1D MKII, 1Ds, 10D for the quiet front of church shots. PRO red banded lenses, 16-35, 24-70, 70-200mm zooms.A 50mm f1.4 for dark churches, where you can't use flash during the service, (but the bride wants natural capture).Three 550 speed lights, Lexar 1GB, 2GB pro cards, about ten of them,Ansman 2400s x 20 charger, small Maglite pencil torch for night shots. Lens cloth, spare battery for each camera. Small Graphi books for clients who don't know, at this point, thatthey, or someone they know, are going to book me for there future wedding or environmental portrait shoot. (Always carry some of your work, there is an opportunity around everycorner). Hasseleblad H1, Imacon Back with 132MB files, 50x110mm zoom, 80mm fixed lens,Metz 70MZ-50,Metz 54MZ- 4, Image bank + spare battery for each flash.This lot is packedinto Lowepro protection bags.
What prompted you to buy the camera of you choice?
Quality. Glove like fit. Results.
Who makes your albums?
I mainly use Graphistudios,Mario Acerboni, and Jorgenson, allof whom produce premium grade product suitable for my clientele.
Do you use a stylist or assistant?
My working methods allow me to operate solo, but I prefer touse a second photographer when possible.
