Overall, the highlights of the results were as follows:

1. None of the prints was an outright reject.

2. Edition Etching and Montval were too red in both skin tones and mid-grey and carried the highest huecomponent errors. This is the one pair of results which really suffered from our choice of the wrong media setting.

3. Rag Photographique, Mi-Teintes, Velin Museum and BFK Rives produced average errors of less than 3.0 ΔE2000 which is exceptionally good for a generic profile. We doubt that a media setting change would influence the statistics.

The plot shows the base white of the paper surface with the printed colour bias of the 50% grey show circled with white. The two outliers in the lower left are Edition Etching and Montval which were not as well matched to our incorrect choice of media setting in the printer.

4. The Dmax values all hovered around 1.6, equivalent to about 18% in Lightness value, typical of the better materials in this class.

5. Metamerism was low, ranging from 0.6 to 1.6 Lab ΔE (D65 to Tungsten A at 50% grey).

6. None of the media showed any unpleasant effects such as gloss differential, patchiness, shadow reversal or ink flooding. The surfaces were slightly delicate as you would expect.
