Now the duo is just a magnet for publicity - with features and spreads in key national wedding titles - and even a profile (last spring) in the Sunday Times business section.
Photography and art are in Julia's Italian genes; her greatgrandfather and grandfather were photographers and her father is a painter. Julia's photo-gene surfaced during a sixmonth trip across South America - and she's never looked back.
"At the beginning of the decade I discovered my love for photography and I am thrilled that at the end of it the business has grown into one of the UK's leading wedding and portrait companies," she enthuses. The wedding side of the Boggio business is booming. It's top-end and could never be described as cheap - nevertheless, couples are queuing up for the Boggio lens, and increasingly, the additional documentary filming skills of husband James.
Says James, "To us a wedding is a fashion shoot in uncontrolled circumstances. And that is the challenge we rise to. Julia has a unique shooting style that embraces colour and energy, quirkiness and fun. We spend a lot of time getting to know our clients, what they want, what they don't want - and if they would like us to shoot their wedding as a film theme. And more and more do - right now Julia is working on an Alice in Wonderland idea for one couple. Coincidentally, all our wedding packages are named after films - and our frames are named after famous Italian directors."
