on a recent brace of training days with a difference!
A couple of years ago I wrote an article that detailed my work at Flamingo Land park in North Yorkshire. For the uninitiated this is a fantastic theme park and zoo, in the flat lands of the Vale on York, in a tiny village close to the town of Malton. When we were scouting around for potential locations for Societies' Member's Days I was happy to approach the owners and they kindly allowed us access. You have no idea how hard HQ work to find locations for these sessions. Paul Taylor in particular does the work on Members' Days so if you know anywhere that could be good then drop him a line.
The main points in granting us access were that the owners knew I could be trusted to understand the dangers of the environment we were in, and that the park was closed at the time and therefore we wouldn't upset paying punters!
The first day was set to be a fashion day at short notice, but that wasn't a problem as it sold out rapidly. The second was taking pictures of the animals in the zoo and sold out within days of being announced. So there was no pressure when I arrived in the car park on day one!
There are 0 days to get ready for The Society of Photographers Convention and Trade Show at The Novotel London West, Hammersmith ...
which starts on Thursday 1st January 1970
