Lux S
Formerly Lux S Studio Décor and now the more succinct ‘LuxS’ - this is the place to go for all your photographic props. MD Gareth Phillips tells us that the resurgence in studio props is continuing to grow - suggesting that newborn photographers favour its Denny Roll- Top Bath (manufactured in durable plastic, which can be lined with blankets, fabric or filled with soapy water if wished), as well as Denny’s simulated rustic stone bench. The latter is likewise a unisex posing tool made specifically for small babies and manufactured from lightweight coated foam.
Also a popular recommendation is its UK manufactured waterproof Bay Posing Bean-bag, its size said to be ideal for photographing newborns in a safe and controlled way. The bag contains approximately 250 litres of what’s described as high-quality fire-rated bead with a zip provided for topping up, if required. Another option, described as ‘simple but effective’ for studio use, are its indoor posing blocks, a set of which can be converted into kids’ fun blocks with the addition of primary colour slip-on, washable covers. The blocks are manufactured in the UK by LuxS, and can be used on their ends or on their sides.
Finally, for a more fantastical theme, fairies and princesses can be indulged via a giant set of three posing mushrooms to sit on (Denny Fairytale 3 Mushroom prop set), which, when combined with the fairytale backdrop (at 9ft by 8ft) and the stone footbridge, can help create a magical time for all - and a magical resulting image. Said footbridge prop is double-sided too with stone exterior on one side and brick on the other. Additionally, it can be turned on its side to create a curved posing wall.
Delivery for most of LuxS’ products is next day, with delivery within the UK being free of charge, and, depending on the time of order, usually delivered next day.www.luxs.biz
