PocketWizard PlusX Transceiver
Johnsons Photopia
Also worth a mention in tandem with the above in terms of radios and transmitters is the PocketWizard PlusX Transceiver at £89.99 SRP, which is being pitched as the simplest PocketWizard radio ever. Simply attach one PlusX to your camera, another PlusX to a remote flash using an included cable, set both radios to the same channel and start taking pictures. See www.pocketwizard.com for more.
In terms of the Black Rapid brand (www.blackrapid.com), new to the range are the Curve Moss strap and Kick strap, both at £65. The former derives its name from an ergonomic curve built into the pad, and thanks to the ability to customize it, this is described as one flexible strap in more ways than one. The 'Kick' meanwhile has been specially optimised for women photographers with an ergonomic curve built into the pad.
Syrp Genie Motion Control Device
As flagged up in our intro, there is also the wonderfully named Syrp Genie Motion Control Device at £800 (see www.syrp.co.nz), designed specifically for motion control and image capture for time-lapse photography.
Finally if you're bored with regular camera bags and are looking for an epiphany, then find it in the aptly named 'Epiphanie' range of bags (www.epiphaniebags.com), from which the Austin bag in black - a stylish satchel style bag for men and women - the Belle bag in fuchsia - roomy enough to hold your camera body and attached lens, plus much more - and the Clover bag (for camera and laptop), also in fuchsia, are well worth checking out as something different and stand out from the norm. Prices range from £199 to £229.
