SB-300 Speedlight
Nikon
There's been a lot going on these past 12 months in terms of new Nikon releases, including accessories such as flashguns and even its newly launched own brand range of camera bags. A case in point is the new entry-level SB-300 Speedlight which comes with a suggested retail price of £139.99. This is pitched as a compact, lightweight and versatile accessory flash option with a Guide Number of 18/59 (m/ft at ISO100) whilst the flash head can be tilted at up to 120° in order for photographers to bounce the light. Power comes via two AAA batteries, whilst included is a soft pouch.
Something more specialist still for photographers who think outside the box is Nikon's 10mm wide-angle lens for its waterproofed AW1 CSC, sold separately to the body and lens kit at a standalone price of £299.99 and available only in black.
Nikon LD-1000 LED flash
Cooler still perhaps is the retro looking LD-1000 LED flash compatible with Nikon's interchangeable lens '1' system camera range, which attaches via screw thread. The LD-1000 has a suggested retail price of £119.99.
Plus, if your Nikon camera doesn't offer Wi-Fi built-in, how about adding the feature via the brand's standalone WU-1b wireless 'dongle', compatible with latest higher end DSLR releases such as the D610, enabling photographers to share images with their smartphones. Alternatively add a Nikon MD-D14 battery pack to your DSLR, as well as SB-910 or SB-700 Speedlights from higher up the flashgun range.
