Fujifilm Mini90
Fujifilm
There has been a trend of late for pro photographers who are looking to offer social photography clients something a little different to shoot on toy cameras, retro cameras and instant film cameras, including old Polaroid devices. The modern version of these, arguably, is provided by Fujifilm's Instax instant print range. As well as its gorgeously retro styled Mini90 analogue model that takes design inspiration form Fujifilm's 'X' series of digital cameras, recent Fuji releases in terms of accessories in the range have included an Instax printer, the Instax Share SP-1. The printer, measuring 101.6x42x122.5mm, and weighing 253g, claims to produce a print in just 16 seconds and uses standard Instax Mini film for its output, as do the standalone Instax cameras. Pricing for the SP-1 printer is said to be in the region of £140 and £150. It will also print wirelessly from your mobile phone via a free 'app' produced by Fujifilm.

Instax aside, Fuji is furthering the creative scope for photographers using its X series range of mirror-less models. A case in point is its new Fujinon XF10-24mm f/4 R OIS zoom, a 2.4x zoom lens described as offering ultra wide to standard focal length capability, in offering the 35mm equivalent of 15-36mm with the ability to shoot at f4 throughout the focal range. Available from March at the time of writing, asking price is £849.99.
In addition, like Nikon, Fujifilm has also recently collaborated on dedicated camera bags - with Fuji's pair being all-weather models compatible with its retro styled X series compact system cameras. These have been manufactured in conjunction with Lake District based outdoor and travel bag brand Millican. There are currently two bags to choose from in the memorably named 'Christopher' and 'Robert' - larger and smaller options respectively - which both match the Fuji cameras for vintage design and suitability for everyday adventure. Both feature a hooded lid for extra security and are claimed to be manufactured from 100 per cent organic cotton canvas with a weatherproof outer fabric. Current retailer of choice for the bags in the UK is high street veteran John Lewis.
