Canson

Also offering its acclaimed Baryta Photographique, the main point to pitch about Canson is that readers/SWPP members can save 30% off the asking price if opting for a new Jumbo Box of PhotoSatin Premium RC 'Resin Coated' 270gsm. In doing so you can find out why our own resident paper expert Mike McNamee was moved to opine that he'd "never known a paper like it" in respect of Canson's quality.

PhotoSatin Premium Resin Coated consists of an alpha cellulose acid-free art paper coated with a structured polyethylene and a microporous receiver layer. This photo paper has been designed to comply with the highest lifespan requirements, and the surface of the PhotoSatin Premium RC is said to be reminiscent of the original photochemical papers traditionally associated with the Baryta market. This paper gives softened reflections on photographs, making it an ideal choice for both colour and black and white photography.

Canson says it has launched its 250-sheet Jumbo Box to meet demand from photographers. Not only does it provide less cumbersome packaging for those heavy users, but the paper provider claims it is passing the cost savings on to the end user too. The box has a similar two-part design as the 25-sheet box. It is made of the same high-quality sturdy cardboard and can be used as a storage box once empty.
