Red River Paper

A less familiar name perhaps might be Red River Paper - however, it is seeking to expand its customer base beyond its own in the USA, and whilst its products are available to order now, it is additionally seeking a UK distributor.

Offering exhibition-quality products, Red River's most important trio of papers are the Polar Pearl, the San Gabriel Semi-gloss Fibre baryta photo paper and the UltraPro Satin. The Polar Pearl is a metallic inkjet paper providing extra weight and thickness so that your prints feel more professional and durable. Said to be compatible with any inkjet printer, it claims to give amazing pop and brilliance to your images.

Next up and said to 'bring back the glory days of the darkroom print', San Gabriel Semi-gloss Fibre provides a lightly textured surface which adds depth and an elegant reflectivity to prints, as well as providing additional warmth for colour prints. Black and white prints are also said to benefit from San Gabriel's deep blacks and contrast. In short, Red River promises that your prints will be 'museum and exhibition ready'.

Thirdly the UltraPro Satin paper for inkjets is now being offered in a version 3.0 that will replace the current 2.0, and is described as a 'go to premium satin paper' that will save you money into the bargain. With a neutral bright white tone, UltraPro Satin is pitched as looking and feeling just like a traditional photo lab paper with a medium-depth lustre finish.

Red River Paper also tells us that it is doing big business Stateside with Inkjet greetings cards, for which there is a sizeable market in the US.

Within this subset its most popular ranges are the Pecos River Gloss, Polar Matte and River Linen. Described as 'one of a kind', Pecos is a smooth pigment- and dye-friendly, high gloss with a plain paper back, whilst Polar Matte features a soft white printing surface and is described as Red River's finest photo grade matt paper. Thirdly, River Linen is pitched as premium quality inkjet paper, which features a subtle linen finish. For more details, sizes and pricing, direct your internet browser to the below URL.
