UK distributor Fotospeed's own-brand inkjet photo papers have been honoured with awards for Best Professional Paper at The Societies' annual event for four years running and, added to this, have a number of big-name photographer advocates on their books - including John Swannell, Trevor and Faye Yerbury. It's a pretty safe bet, then, that you may already be aware of their quality when it comes to photo prints with added punch and professionalism.

"The awards were for Platinum Baryta Fine Art paper and Pigment Friendly PF Lustre; that is our biggest seller," Fotospeed's Sales Director Toby Herlinger tells us. In addition, its own brand, Natural Texture fine art paper has been the recipient of five star review in Digital Photo magazine, where it also bagged a 'Best for Fine Art Printing' accolade.

"They did a group test at the time and then a round-up of papers at the end of the year," Toby recalls. "So we won the group test and then the round up of all the papers throughout the year. Quite an achievement."

Another five star review - this time from Amateur Photographer magazine - was awarded to Fotospeed's tubeless inkflow refill solution for the Epson R3000 printer. "The first tubeless inkflow we've done is one of our biggest selling items. People love it because it's clean, there are no tubes into the printer and no additional footprint - plus it comes with a lifetime warranty."

Don't just take Fotospeed's own word for it, however. John Swannell has this to say about the brand: "Of all the inkjet papers I've been using over the years, Platinum Baryta has been, since its introduction, the most consistent paper I have used ... I love the slightly off-white quality. It's great for skin tones, especially on women, and the actual overall tone has a richness about it that I don't find on any other paper."

Trevor and Faye Yerbury have been equally warm in their praise, saying: "Fotospeed has added an extra depth to our work. It will now be part of our regular paper stock alongside the Fotospeed Platinum Warmtone."
